Despite some serious reservations about the ending (or rather, the lack of one), it's all terrific fun with some superb shocks and gore. The effects are still astonishing to watch, and some truly hilarious moments ("Two pounds.")

Get it!

But does it lack the DTS track like the R4 version?

According to the review in this month's DVD Review, yes R2 is lacking the DTS soundtrack, so R1 is best version to go for.

The film is excellent fun. Best use of Creedence Clearwater Revival yet :D

Great film with special effects that put some of the newer films to shame.
Some films date better than others and this is one that stands the test of time (what ever that means).

I've got the R1 version and was going to trade it in for the R2 but I went to Rewind this afternoon and it says the R1 is the best cos of the addition of the DTS soundtrack. I think I will stick to the R1.
