isn't the director the same guy who did the godawful Mimic? That worries me.

Yep, he did do Cronos and Devil's Backbone though so he has the talent.

Anybody know what the music is by the way? Just out of interest.

Cheers:)

the main music (with the lyrics "calling all freaks") is a Crystal Method track off their latest album, 'Tweekend', and is called 'Name of the Game'

i usually despise dance music, but along with a select few other groups Crystal Method regularly see the inside of my Hi-Fi, and you'll find em in a tonne of film soundtracks...

Aparantly the films soundtrack is made up of bands like Moby,Chemical Brothers and Crystal Method teaming up with rap and r'n'b acts.

Could be intresting.

I loved the first one. However, nobody has mentioned one very important factor for the sequel:

DONNIE YEN!!!

I know that the action scenes are going to better those in the first (and they weren't too shabby).

Oh yes I will see this one. I think I will get Blade as well. It looks more fun than the sloppy romance stuff, as a woman, I am supposed to like.

[ignorance mode]

Sorry to ask what is probably a totally lame question but, how do I save these trailers onto my hard drive. I've just seen the Resident Evil and latest Spiderman trailers and quite like the look of those too.

[/ignorance mode]

TIA.

Using Windows right click and 'save target as'

martinb
11-02-2002, 13:18
er, you could just right click the link and select 'save as' and then point it to your hard disk.

2 for the price of one.

The Hustler

Yes, thanks ;) Thats what I did with the 2nd Blade 2 link above but I probably didn't put what I meant very well.

What I meant was the other trailer links on the apple, and other official movie, sites. When I click on the high res/medium res/low res choice the trailer streams and loads in my browser, but if I do a search for the trailer on my C drive I can't find it - it's as if it hasn't stored it on my HD at all. All I can find is a 2kb .mov file in the temporaray internet files folder which looks to me as though it's some sort of pointer to the trailer on the web site.

I'm obviously missing something here, so if anyone can educate me in the ways of these trailers I'd be most appreciative. How do I physically copy a trailer to my hard disk

TIA.

The trailers you've viewed are probably on your HD somewhere in the Temp Internet Files folder, but i'm not sure how Apple stores them (probably under a different extension to .mov to hide it)....the reason I guess most people are suggesting to 'right click and save as' is that they're using a site I set-up (originally just for the Spiderman trailer but its become somewhat popular!) which you can access via the 'www' button in my profile (the row of buttons that proceeds this message, profilie, e-mail, www' etc) and contains direct links that you can save directly to your HD.

Apple embed their trailer links into the page so you cannot save to your HD with ease, it involves opening the source code for the page and finding the link - that is why we all love kanedaa's site so much :)

If his site doesnt have it I use www.trailersworld.com as they too allow you to right click and save to disk

Excellent. Thanks for the info guys, that's exactly what I'm after. It seems that you have the option to save trailers to your HDD with Quicktime Pro (which I'm not going to upgrade to) but even then only if the creator of the trailer allows it, so the two sites mentioned have gone straight into my favourites folder and are open right now as I type :D

Thanks again.
