£24.47 per month
24 months contract
500 mins anytime any network
100 texts
unlimited evening & weekend landline calls

+£35 auto cash back in around 90 days

+orange broadband...up to 10MB

I thought it was a bargain considering Orange wanted over £200 on an upgrade

Be wary if you're looking at this for a good data phone. Friend was looking for an HTC Touch HD, but I think he decided against Orange as they are quite tight on their usage policies? Could be wrong, but think O2 is the network to go with if you want high data usage.

This is the Bargain forum.....The discussion forum is elsewhere as is the USA. Most people nowadays are on 18month contract....so what's the big deal, 6 months more..

Are most people on that these days? I wouldn't have thought so, depends how cheap you want to go. I have a 1-month SIM-only contract :D

£24.47 x 24 = £587.27
1 month sim...with equivalent minutes = £20-ish ?
So for the additional £120 (£4.47 x 24) I am getting a £400 handset.

18 month contracts and even 12 month contracts cost the same if not more than this one over the lifetime.

Eitherway, just posting a bargain if anyone cares.

Does seem a pretty good deal to get the phone but, as already posted, Orange's data bundle isn't as good as O2 (or even T-Mobile's WnW).

Not enough txts for me either - which is a relief as I've just upgraded on T-Mobile and lost my Evenings and Weekends, so was a tad gutted to find a provider that still might offer this.

Soon be signing up for so long you'll get buried with the phone.

Not sure if this is still going on but when I upgraded on Orange just before Xmas I wsas offered a similarly stupid upgrade price (£129) on an 18 month contract on an LG Renoir by orange over the phone. However, when I logged onto my orange account and went to upgrade options I was offered the phone for free on a £20 pm contract over 12 months so worth checking

You can also choose the Dolphin package for same price, 400 minutes and unlimited texts. 500mb data bundle costs £4.89 on Orange.

500mb won't go too far over a month if you're a heavy data user. A few views of Forum pages will quickly clock up 1mb before you realise. Also pretty sure you're still stuck having to pay for both voicemail and MMS too.

That said, my data usage is down at the moment as I can't seem to get onto the Forums on my Diamond. Seems to be in the last week that I've had problems, anyone else struggling with mobile access?
