Right ..... my contract ends with T-Mobile (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=78) on 13th feb so a call in two days to cancel contract is in order. I am going to buy and iphone and go with O2 as I get a great discount on a tariff with them. I will probably buy my new phone before my current contract expires.

Can someone please advise me what I need to say to t mobile to keep my current number alive? I don't know if this is possible to do as I would have had my mobile a few weeks before current contract expires.

Hope this makes sense.

dont think you can do that-as far as i am aware a pac only lasts 30 days

I am out of contract on T-Mobile and got my PAC number over the phone yesterday. I have an O2 Prepay sim card which I bought before xmas last year. Filled out a transfer request from the O2 website (the O2 online form even asks if you have an iPhone.) and my T-Mobile number will be ported over by Friday. The O2 website says it processes number ports in 48 hours.
