Hi, first of all I would like to thank everyone that replies to this post, I have started to purchase my Home Cinema setup but have a few questions.

Home Cinema Setup:

Kef Q3 front speakers
Kef Q8s rear speakers
Kef Q9c center speaker

Rek Q150e Subwoofer

Sony DVPNS900V DVD Player (MULTI-REGION + RCE)

Denon 3802 A/V Amp

Atacama Equinox 4 shelf rack (silver)

QED Silver Anniversary speaker cable for rear & center

QED Silver Anniversary Bi-Wire speaker cable for front

1, is it worth getting gold plated banana plugs for the speaker cables?

2, what is the best way to run in the speakers?

3, what is the best way to run in the sub? (is it possible to run in the sub with out it connected to a Amp as I already have got the sub but still waiting for the Amp to arrive)

4, what cables will I need to connect my Sub to my Amp

Some people like banana plugs, some just wrap the cable around the binding posts.
To run in the speakers just connect them up and play them, put a cd in your dvd player and just leave it on, or a dvd, or any sound source, just leave it running for 24 hours to get started then play it as often as possible. Some speakers don`t loosen up for a month or more!
You can`t really run in your Rel cos it is just another loudspeaker really. If you have the rel already you should have the neutrik speakon cable that comes with it (for hi level connection) and a cheap low level phono cable that Rel supply.
If you want you can spend more on a superior phono cable or buy a phono that is supposed to be especially for subwoofers. Many folk say with subs that the quality of cable is not so important as it is with other speakers.
