Its a great laptop, wife ordered it on boxing day with the 10% off code that was limited to then, so worked out about £420 using the Egg card, which was nice..

They are all undergoing scheduled maintenance and were supposed to be back this morning but as you can see they are not. We are supposed to get a mail when they return.

hi, first time poster, but long time lurker! i owe you lot a huge thanks for some bargains over the last few months :)

anyway, looking at getting a laptop as our desktop pc at home has seen better days and i wanted something a little more versatile

anyone have an idea if this laptop would be good enough to play games on too?

im looking at getting the laptop for casual internet browsing, watching blue-rays whilst on the go, and then playing a couple of games when bored at work (specifically Football Manager 2009 and then Diablo 3 when its released)

can anyone help me, not 100% sure what i need to be looking for

thankyou :)

Hi, yes screen res is good, 1440x900, and has Nvidia (NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GE) on-board so would assume it would be good for 3D - looks nice with the 'Aero' vista interface anyway!

Cheers

Thanks for the heads-up, I wonder if the egg instant cashback will work with this offer  Though I'm now stuck between a rock and a hardplace, as it's possible to pick up a vostro with a faster CPU,8600m GFX and 4gb ram, though no b-ray, for a shader over £500, by the time I decide I'm sure both offers will have expired :( what to do.

Yes, Egg cashback works no problem with other offers/discount codes, cheers Dave

Does it also let you use the forum's affiliate link or do you need to go via egg to get the cashback?
Would be nice if the forum's didn't lose out. :)

Too expensive for me anyway :(, still paying off Christmas and New year.

Yes, I've gone through affiliate link before, and you still get the instant Egg cashback, you don't need to use the one on the Egg site.
