Infinifim is basically the special features incorporated into a film. Watch 15 Minutes for example with Infinifilm on, and text boxes will spring up and you press enter to watch interviews, featurettes and more. Its quite a good idea.

Thirteen Days is probably the best movie to make full use of the Infinifilm thang - it IS rather clever....!

btw, Thirteen Days is worth watching anyway.

mjb1975 I take it Thirteen Days is available with
Infinifilm only on region 1?

well, I can't be certain, but I think so. I believe all the extras are present on the R2 and R4 versions, but not accessible in the 'Infinifilm' method.....

I think New Line are doing Infinifilm instead of the Platinum Series discs, Only on R1 though.

Very similar to the follow the White Rabbit feature on the Matrix disc.

i've become someone who rarely watches extra features these days unless i know it'll be worth my time, as (epecially with most commentaries), the content is more or less the same -- but the last disc i watched every feature must have been the R1 Rush Hour 2 disc... you get the two options, one as mentioned above -- the infinifilm way... which i personally think is excellent, you listen to the commentary, while reading the FACT File subtitle track, and every so often the kinky blue bar pops up with an extra feature that corresponds to the particular scene (i.e. alternate scene, SFX breakdown), and it's up to you to watch it or not. It's great because you really feel like you're learning something, and it's semi-interactive, also you don't feel like you re-watching the movie so much.

The next option is to go through the extra material in a standard way. And even this i found was superior, everything was organised in such a consumable way, that i really found it a dream to navigate through everything.. and i didn't think there was a single feature that had no purpose (unlike virtually every SE!!), and this is coming from someone who's seen his fair few share of DVDs.

I'm very interested to see the 13 Days disc, as Rush Hour 2 is meant to be a very average demo of Infinifilm... but even still i personally found it ten times better than most other DVDs i've seen. Criterion what??? New Line are the best !!! really wish LOTR is given the infinifilm makeover :D
