samsung lcd - Region 1 DVDs have black lines?

Got a dvd player hooked up via RGB scart and Region 1 films have some thick black shadowy lines that come and go.

Anything I can do to stop this? thanks.

You're absolutely sure that you've set the player to output RGB?

I had that with my Tosh LCD. Turned out it had a problem with PAL60. Once I'd made sure the player was outputting NTSC, the problem stopped, and this was with RGB, so not really sure how that worked :shrug:

Maybe go into your players settings and make sure the video output is at "auto" - ie PAL for PAL and NTSC for NTSC, if this makes sense.

its a sony player and has no settings for pal or ntsc - was fine on CRT
