I'm forty minutes into this movie with 1 hour to go and I have a problem....
Where is the tension? The creepy music and dimly lit rooms and unexpected noises might well make me nervous if I suspected something terrible was about to be revealed, but thanks to the dialogue so far, I know exactly what's making the noise - it's a little boy called Victor who cries because he doesn't like the house and chats frequently with the daughter. Not exactly terrifying, is it? So what's the worse that can happen when mum is pulling sheets off objects in a store room? A small, tear-stained boy will be revealed!
Someone please tell me it's worth the wait!

With this film mate, it's all about building up the tension - you ain't going to see blood and guts everywhere - depends when you watch it too - alone in a dark room will be more effective than in broad daylight I think.
Give it time - a good movie!

I'm definitely not into blood and guts, and must confess that Stir of Echoes and What Lies Beneath had me leaping out of my chair at times, but even with my imagination in overdrive I can't get worried about a little boy ghost. I'll give it every chance though.

Assuming you are talking about the R3 version, what is the disc like - are there subtitles and are they removeable? Is the transfer anamorphic?
Cheers!
Don't worry - I've found the other thread now!

Watch it on your normal tv without stopping it to post on a message board.

Believe me, richard, it is worth the wait!!!! The ending reveals all!!!
That's all I will say.
This is a fantastic movie and I fail to see how people are not impressed by it - even Christopher Ecclestone is good in it!!!
