Boy - Jonathon Ross must really be no go for the BBC. Just been watching Shrek 2 and they had dubbed out his voice for the Ugly Sister...

Ouch - talk about taking things too far.. I bet that's upset a lot of the 'Daily mail' mob who had pre-written there "in disgust" letters ;)

Kate Thornton still did the "Joan Rivers" character voice, so I'm guessing that it wasn't the US version that aired.

There goes a few hundred quid off his yearly balance.

Sorry, but I don't believe that the BBC would have done this as a result of recent events. If they have then I would be appalled!

Well, Ross' performance was pretty cringe worthy anyway, so it was definately a change for the better...

Was it Larry King's voice in the US version?

Well, I don't have a recording to prove it, but it sounded nothing like Ross to me. And he was god awful, so not something I would have missed..

Perhaps BBC Yorkshire were showing a different version ;-)

I saw the East Yorks version and it was Ross here, to be honest I'd rather have the US version as Joan is better and Larry is in the UK version of S III.

I'm almost certain the BBC wouldn't have that kind of authority to screw about with a movie.

The only bit I saw was that one, and it sounded as I remembered

So to you it sounded like it was redubbed with someone doing a wossy impression?

Maybe he sounded squeekier due to PAL speed-up? :dork:

Tell that to ITV when they used to hatchet Robocop and other such greats. :D

 Wish they'd include the ITV audio track on the Robocop DVD for comedic value. I'd buy that for a dollar.

Midnight Run on the BBC was one of the best, although getting rid of the swearing actually led to some inventive dialogue - surely theratening to stab somebody with a broken pencil is more inventive than the original line? :)

Though how they managed to show Beverly Hills Cop pre-watershed I'll never know.

ITV's "Yippee ki aye...!!" Will always be the best for me... :D

Did anyone ever get the Melon Farmer version of Repo-Man released?
