Was anyone else dissapointed by the supposedly new episode of Top of the Pops yesterday? It was more or less exactly the same as the episode shown on Christmas Day, but with different links between performances with Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates, and the running order changed around a bit. Exactly the same artists and songs were featured.

Christmas Day episode
---------------------

Girls Aloud
Pussycat Dolls
Adele
Alexandra Burke
Take That
Keane
Keiser Chiefs
The cast of Mamma Mia
Duffy
Sam Sparro
Leona Lewis

New Years Eve episode
----------------------

Girls Aloud
Pussycat Dolls
Adele
Alexandra Burke
Take That
Keane
Keiser Chiefs
The cast of Mamma Mia
Duffy

Leona Lewis

As the weekly Top of the Pops was sadly axed in 2006, I especially look forward to the Christmas Day episode every year and any other special episodes that might be transmitted. I just couldn't believe then that the episode last night was primarily exactly the same as the Christmas Day show. What a comple and utter dissapointment and rip-off! Why couldn't the show have featured a different line-up of artists performing to that of Christmas Day??

I thought Coldplay was on after GA last night? (was watching it in a drug induced haze, so I could be mistaken) :suspect:

Oh yes Coldplay were featured on the show last night, as well as the Christmas Day show!

A double dose of Nicole Scherzinger equals win win for me.

Yes all the artists performed exactly the same songs as the episode on Christmas Day too. And they were probably the exact same performances too.

They were the same performances, the same pervy look on the guy in the crowd singing along to Girls Aloud and the Pussycat Dolls.

Feel a bit ripped off by it as I too thought it was a "special" and not a repeat
