Has anyone used either of these hifis?

Looking for one that has HDD/Wifi/ethernet or any combination of those, a networked solution would be better but HDD would do.

I really liked the look of the streamiums and they seem to tick all of the boxes but the screen on them is smaller than a gnats chuff and the menus look like something you would expect on a £20 mp3 player.

The gigajuke however, the menus are rather nice, very easy to navigate and looks rather nice too. all of the sites state that the player can stream TO other wireless devices but doesnt say if it can stream FROM a media server.

The gigajuke at the moment would appear to be the best choice but Im looking for some user feedback to for any issues that may come up.

I've alerady considered the Sonos system but thats too big/too much work for the areas its going to cover.

Thanks in advance

I can't really comment on either of those ideas, but have you considered the Logitech Squeezebox (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/wireless_music_systems/&cl=roeu,en)? There's different versions including a new semi-portable one with built in speakers (the boombox). Personally, I prefer the classic model as I like the nice big screen which can be utilised for other purposes especially when in standby. They operate over wireless or wired ethernet - there's no hard disk option as such, although the software (Slimserver) does run on various NAS boxes. Technically, you don't actually need one as it can also stream via an internet link using a service called MP3Tunes (http://mp3tunes.com/) (which you can upload your music to - you need a premium account which costs anywhere between $40 and $140/year depending on the amount of storage; 50gb to 200gb). However, in practice you're likely to want to have them stored locally in case the connection isn't available.
