lost apparently random Sky channels

On various channels, I get an error pop up quickly, "there is a technical Fault" and then the no satelite signal message. There doesn't seem to be anything in common, IE all Vertical, or Horizontal. Theyre all on different transponders I believe, but there are loads.

BBC2, ITV CH4 & 5, FXUK, Hallmark, BBC3 & 4, Virgin, Para comedy SCfI +1 to name a few. Does anyone have any ideas? could it be my LNB?

I'm not certain with this but think that it may mean your box is kaput :(

My parents had the the same problem and after extensive research over on digital spy it seems it's caused by resistors blowing. As their box was 10 years old they didn't mind too much and just upgraded so as to get a new box.

As their box was 10 years old they didn't mind too much and just upgraded so as to get a new box.had the same thought, so I've picked up a spare to try, as thats easier than trying to replace the LNB at the moment
