View Full Version : Gilmore Girls Complete Series Season 4 Disc 6 won't play

Anyone got the Complete series of this? I am at end of Season 4 and the last disc will not play, tried 6 different players and all I get are error messages. The disc looks mint upon inspection therefore there shouldn't be any read errors.

Anyone know how I could get replacement discs from Warner Brothers? I don't really want to send the whole boxset back to the states (Amazon) for an exchange, it would be cheaper just to buy Season 4 and replace 1 disc than the postage to ship it back.

As Season 4 (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=25&url=http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0009WFF6S/thedvdforums-20) is only $14.99 on it's own it would probably be much easier to simply get that before the price goes up again (if it does)?
It's bloody annoying when this happens in a large set but it's impractical to exchange the whole thing really (plus you might be exchanging one problem for another).

You enjoying the show though?

I have emailed Warner Brothers and a lady has emailed me back saying that i can just exchange the single disc. :)

That was before i told her i don't live in the states though, i have no idea if that matters as she is sending me a pre-paid envelope to send it back. In any case, i might just buy season 4 for a tenner for that disc.

As for the show, i am loving it !

EDIT - I've now been "passed" to the UK office......grrrr, how's that going to work? The Complete series do not exist in the UK.

I have this season that I bought from a dutch site, tho it plays in English. Do you want to borrow the disk so you can see the end of the season? If so, let me know how to email you and I'll get in contact over the weekend for your details and post it off next week.

Thank you so muich for the offer but Warner Brothers has been a great help in this. I never thought it would work but i contacted them through their website then emails, when they passed me to the UK office I wrote an detailed email about why the UK office can't help me (they don't have the set in R2 for a start). And the replacement disc arrived via UPS today from California along with a nice letter too from WB :clap:

My set is complete again :)

I know !!!! I thought what the hell and started watching Season 5 and then went WTF happened in 2 episodes ????? It was insane how much they moved the story along in 2 episodes !

Anyway, I actually have Season 4 now in duplicate as I ordered it from Amazon (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=25) first and it was sent to me before Warner even replied to my first email. But hell, it was only $15 and I'd pay that much for that single replacement disc so all my discs are in the same order/design :)

Just an update for anyone who has a similar problem, just got an email from Amazon

Got this set from amazon.com for the OHs birthday last year and she's just discovered that disc 24 is dodgy. I've emailed amazon and they say they can only replace the whole set (which would be a pain) :(
I never got that email from amazon or a replacement disc but raymond, if you've still got it could you let me know the WB email eddress you used or where you found it, would be much appreciated.
