Paper Chase Season 1 coming to R1 DVD

Season 1 of the brilliant TV series The Paper Chase is being released on DVD Region 1 in April 2009. It starred John Houseman reprising his masterful performance as Harvard Law Professor Charles W. Kingsfield. He won an Oscar for his performance in the original movie. The tv series was shown in the UK on BBC2.

I used to love this series. Wondered if it would ever be released. Will probably look very dated but I recall the storylines being strong and I agree John Houseman was excellent. Wasn't there also a movie on which the TV series was based?

Yes there was a movie first but only John Houseman reprised his part in the tv series.
