Hi.
I was wondering if anyone knew if the old PS2 Singstar microphones will work on the Wii Guitar Hero World Tour?

Thanks in advance:thumbs:

No it isn't. The logitech one from HSM is though.

Wii mic compatibility has been a tricky issue for a while but the logitech one is usually the one recommended.

I ordered these mics (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=220334085870) over the weekend which will hopefully appease my daughter after she broke her Wii HSM one !!!

However, I am now beginning to wonder whether they will enable the duet mode in the game ... or does duet mode in Wii "singing" games require 2 mics each with their own USB connector and using both of the Wii's USB ports ?

Well to answer my own post !!! ....

The mics have arrived and whilst they are very good build quality only one of them is recognised by the Wii. I am not sure what the point of the other mic is ( unless it is to give the impression that both people are singing :?: ).

This leads me to other questions;

1) Is it possible I wonder to get the 'dongle' (which converts the 'big' phono plug on the mic to USB) seperately and thus let me put both mics to use ?

2) In duet mode would I have to unplug, temporarily, my USB LAN adaptor ? Or is the wii clever enough to use a hub ?

UPDATE: For anyone else who is interested, it looks like hubs are supported (http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/support/wii_support_5251_10177.html) :)
