Pioneer DV545 Volume Low?

I got a Pioneer DV545 for xmas and am well pleased with it, great picture quality and looks.

One thing I've noticed though is that when watching a dvd the sound is always a good few notches lower than Tv or Video.

Is this a common theme with DVD's or is there something I can alter on the player to get the volume higher? I've looked through the manual but couldnt find anything there on this.

The last two DVD players ive had did that , I think its the norm.You have to crank the volume up when watching a film , but remember to turn it down again when switching back to TV otherwise you are instantly deafened...
