Hi All
I've just spent a frustrating hour scouring the net trying to find out what the score is with Good Life DVDs.
There was a complete Box set released in 2005, which is now unavailable. I've seen secondhand sets for anything up to £250. Ouch. Bear in mind there were only four shortish (by current standards) series!
I then established that there are series individually available, at very reasonable cost. Except that only series two and three are available, and, apparantly, one of those is missing and episode. Hmmm.
Are we between releases? Is the BBC currently putting together a definitive, super duper, all the extras etc etc box set?
Or is it simply that there is no demand for The Good Life on DVD? The complete Yes Prime/Minister is available for twenty quid or thereabouts. Surely The Good Life would have had a much broader audience, and therefore larger potential market. The prices of used box sets would suggest this may be true.
Now would seem an excellent moment to re-release the set - with the impending recession we could all use some tips on how to / how not to produce our own food!
I'd love to know if anybody can shed any light.
Cheers
Paul
