View Full Version : Best picture-in-picture support from a 32" tv?

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a 32" TV (lack of space limits the screen size) with a decent range of picture-in-picture (or picture-by-picture) options?

It might seem rather odd to base a TV purchase decision on whether it displays two outputs at once, but having had the option on my Sharp LC26GA4E for the past 4 years, I don't think I could do without it now (and I don't have room for 2 TVs side by side).

It's surprisingly hard to Google for the option (most forums consider "PIP" too short and "picture in picture" to be a repetitive phrase), and from what little research I have managed, it seems that not all PinP/PbyPs are equal (some only let you use it if one of the displays is the analogue tuner, others only if one display is the PC/VGA channel. My Sharp won't let me display a 720p image in split-screen so I have to reduce the output on my X360 down to 480p if I want to watch Sky at the same time).

The only set I've seen so far that has seemingly no restrictions is the Samsung LE32A656, although at around £600 for a 32" LCD it's pretty expensive. So can anyone point me towards any others with good multi-picture support?

Cheers in advance...
