Okay so the picture is amazing on both Booray and HD DVD but when I play HD DVD the image judders intermitantly... I know I'll only get a 1080i output out of the 360 Player, I'm just wondering if there's a way to stop this juddering.

The 360 HD-DVD doesn't support 24p so you will get judder on camera pans etc.

Although there was no judder during Transformers just now but it was awful when I was tryin to show me sister Phantom Of The Opera on HD DVD :(

The Sony does have a few 'film' processing modes to tinker with though. They're not in the main picture settings menu, but under 'features' I think.

Got this a few days ago and am impressed with it. Obviously the better the feed the better the picture so Xmas music video push it to its limits!

I'm looking to buy a new lcd in the sales, but I'm worried about what specs I've got to look for regarding the blu-ray judder issue.
I've got a ps3, which I want to watch the blu-rays on, but I can't quite get my head round this 24p issue.
Can someone explain it to a layman like me, please, so I can get the best tv for my blu-ray experience, judder free!
Thanks.

I get nooooooo issues Via Booray 1080/24p :) It's remarkable

Basically movies are shot at 24fps and TVs usually run at 60hz which is faster and will normally Triple the frame so that it looks normal on TV if you get my meaning. Running at 24p as I understand it means that the film runs at its own pace 24fps which means no judder/motion blur caused by motionflow :)

I calibrated my TV for Booray too and it's sublime...

HD DVD has calmed down too, I think it was because my drive hadn't been used in a while :)

Should play it at the correct rate out of the box
