View Full Version : Ed Gein
Ok, this is apparently quite a gruesome horror flick and the girlfriend seems to think that it is released in the US on DVD...and thats the only place that it ever will be released. As said in the thread title..its called Ed Gein
Tried the usual suspects as far as supplying goes, but does anyone know for sure that it exists?
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers

According to imdb it's also known as In the Light of the Moon and is indeed available at Amazon.com

Cheers Montevideo, sadly it looks as though that is the *only* place that has it available...:(
Available on R2 from Tartan.

The R1 version is 4:3, not sure if open-matte or P&S, and released by Tartan!
I believe the R2 version is 1.85:1, but I haven't seen it...
By no means a gruesome horror flick, but a reasonably thoughtful treatment of the true story of the man who inspired Psycho and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I'd highly recommend reading up on Ed Gein before seeing the movie - there's hundreds of web sites out there!
(a google search finds nearly 8000 hits!)
The R2 print is listed on the box as being "Animorphic Widescreen", which is Tartan being helpful again. :( It's also not so gory - It's only rated 15 in the UK, and does much more by implication. I thought it was a good film, although some have questioned how true it is.
