Worth mentioning that the UK BD of Batman Returns will likely still be cut.

Never seen an uncut Batman Returns (it's only an aerosol bit isn't it?) so not really concerned. It's my favourite Batman film by far - DeVito's performance knocks Ledger's Joker into the proverbial stuffed hat - but for some reason I've never replaced my video copy...

If you don't mind waiting, in the new year there is a BD version of the Batman Legacy set - containing all three movies - and a free coaster labelled 'Batman and Robin' - coming out.

It works out cheaper than buying them individually too - £39.99 on Play (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=2&url=http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/8056301/Batman-Legacy/Product.html)

If you are a completist anyway.

Hi, could you elaborate on the different versions?

This stolen from IMDB.

In 2005, the film was resubmitted for the special edition DVD release. The BBFC downgraded the certificate back to the original 12 certificate(which was not possible in 1992, when the 12 certificate was cinema only), and waived the cuts to the chain-sticks scene, but the aerosol in the microwave scene remained cut on the grounds that it was a potentially dangerous imitable technique. Various extra features being rated 15 have however caused the overall category of the DVD to be 15. The resulting cuts meant that the audio commentary was dropped from the UK release (probably because it would have been out of sync), although it is still mistakenly advertised as present on the DVD packaging.

Forget about the coaster and save £4 by getting them seperately.

Yeah, I plan on getting the US BD of Batman Returns due to the cuts (never seen the uncut version before). Being as it's Warners, it should be region-free.

But will probably cost you more than the UK version... never thought I'd say that on these forums!

Also available from Amazon for £35.68.

Perhaps I maybe the only person alive, but I really like 'Batman & Robin', in fact it is my second favourite Batman film, just after 'Batman Returns'.
