View Full Version : West Wing details?
I've heard The West Wing (season 1) is to be released on DVD soon -- can anybody shed any light on possible regional differences? Or does the 5-years-in-syndication rule apply in this case, making R2 the only viable solution?
I need something to feed my addiction until the second season appears on normal telly ( first Sky, then E4... when will "they" let me watch it?! ;)).
Cheers y'all,
Steve
Get the R2 - it's only £28.99 at Play.

Thanks for the info -- although I must say that I looked around and found it 99p cheaper at Ringos .
I've just noticed that the boxset only contains 11 episodes -- the first half of season 1! Cripes, I thought it'd be the whole lot :(.
Cheers,
Steve
2nd half is due out in june/july timeframe I think.

I guess I can wait until then :( Thanks for the info!
Keep an eye out for the R4 boxsets. Both are listed as coming out together, sometime in April I seem to recall. Might even be cheaper as per usual. :)
now both sets in April is a good idea. Perhaps I might be cancelling my R2 copy and waiting for the entire set.
Any idea where you saw that Cervaro?
I saw the release date of 17th April 2002 on the Michael D's Region 4 DVD Info Page (http://www.michaeldvd.com.au) site.
The dates are listed as being confirmed rather than tentative. :) However, I've yet to find an R4 retailer that's got them available for pre-order. :(
Thanks for that. I'd not seen it anywhere in R4land.
Quite annoyed that at least in R2 it's being listed at 4:3. I would have hoped a new series like this would be w/s from the start.
The first 2 seasons where not shot in Widescreen, the 3rd is however and so hopefully will be released as such when the time comes.
