They say 3 day delivery, but everything i've ordered has turned up next day!

not personally, but a friend of mine bought a processor and it went faulty. Replacement within 5 days!

I've been using Dabs for years. There service just seems to get better.
Last time I placed an order, it was 10:05pm, and I selected free 3-day delivery - it arrived at 7:15am the next day!

I placed an order at 8:30pm last night - with 3 day delivery - and it arrived this afternoon.

My first order from dabs, and not my last..

Dabs are great so long as you order via the web site. If you have to fax an order then God help you...

As usual, your mileage may vary.

I've used both with no problems whatsoever and I am happy with the service both provide. Dabs offer next day delivery and Ebuyer offer 3-day delivery, but every time I've ordered from either one I've received the item the next day. As for after sales, there's been a couple of people who have had problems with Ebuyer. Dabs customer service is excellent (by phone <U>not</U> E-mail), but are becoming a victim of their own success - I had to call them this week about something I ordered, only to be greeted with this message:

<I>"Thank you for calling Dabs.com, you are currently number.....48....in the queue"</I>. Needless to say, I was holding on for around an hour.

Use either, both superb IMHO.

Dabs are fantastic. After the trouble I had with EBuyer, I'm always willing to pay extra to order from Dabs instead now. Managing Director is always happy to respond to emails as well!

While I've never had a problem with them and must have spent close on 2K with them so far, you do see people on the uk.comp.vendors newsgroup complaining about them when it comes to returning faulty items. Their MD participates in that group and has made some odd statements recently - seems to want to become a box-shifter and pass on returns to manufacturers rather than deal with them themselves (contrary to consumer law, so he won't get far with that plan).

Never used DABS, but i have used E-buyer. I will also never be using E-buyer again.:mad:

From what everyone else has said, i would stick with DABS.

Well I used to like DABS until I bought a Cd writer from Dabs last year which would only write to one brand of CD's i.e. TDK's which I found out by writing to Aopen who confirmed this and my own testing.

I only had the drive for one day but Dabs would not let me exchange it, the drive had won rave reviews with no mention of disc compatibility issues. And I had used the previous model of Aopen 12/10/32 series which had no issues.

Screw DABS and Aopen I'll stick with Simply.co.uk, Insight.com/uk and even jungle.com rather then DABS.

Their prices aren't even that great.

Well got my burner this morning :)

Lets hope no problems arise in the future, as I dont want to have to send this one back too. i previously had the Lite-On 16102B, 2 months then packed in :(

My Original Yamaha 2x writer, i bought from Watford Electronics 4 years ago. It went wrong every 2 months and had to be replaced every 2 months. The final one lasted up until Sept 2000 though.

Bought a Plextor 12x in Sept 2000, still running perfectly great. Never made a coaster and all discs have worked perfectly.
