Absolutely gagging for a release of this - some kind of SE would be superb!

Anyone know if there's a chance? Seems funny it's not out at all...

There is a US R1 version - anamorphic, prologic, no extras.

Had never heard of it till watching it the other day... superb! Gallo is so talented when you bear in mind all the various credits he had for tha film: Actor, director, writer, scorer, musician, casting and one or two more i think??!?!

I'd recommend getting the R1 for now. It's a good enough disk although without any extras. Got mine from ********* for £13.99.

Easily one of my favourite films in recent years...
I'm tempted by the R1 but I already have it on VHS and am hankering after a commentary by Mr Gallo.

Surely it will come? Or maybe only about three people ever liked it? :brickwall

It does actually have quite a cult following and was quite successful (for an 'arthouse' movie) on it's cinematic release.

You think that'll be enough to get them to release it? :)

7....6....5,4,3,2,1 ;)

I liked this film but it's one of those films you watch and you know it's well made, evokes the response it's supposed to, but is ultimately....depressing :(
Kinda in the same vein (heh, pun!) as Requiem for a Dream.

To be honest though, is this a film which really needs a packed SE disc to make it worth a puchase ?.

Gallo is such an egotistical monster that you would think that the film would be nothing but a vanity project - when in fact it works on every level. Superb film - highly recommended.

Nope, and wouldn't even think much 'making of' stuff actually exists from when they were filming - all I want really is a commentary :)

The fourteen quid could be better spent on something I don't own on VHS...

Dead Man has been tempting me for the last few weeks - anybody seen it? As good as it sounds?

Staying vaguely on topic - anyone seen Confessions of a Trickbaby?

Yes, AKA Freeway II.
Interesting film & worth at least 1 watch, but rather poor despite the bizarre drag performance.
It isnt a patch on Freeway 1, and as its in no way connected I cant help but feel that calling it Freeway 2 did more harm than good.

Yes this is one of my favourite films of all time. I think back in the good old days when a great film mag called neon existed they called it "the greatest human love story" i dont think a truer word has been said, really touching, sweet, sad but basically real and with a soul. It is crying out for a commentary. Gallo is a great guy to listen to, I am not sure if he is as egotistical as people think. He is a genius I think, he can do it all art, music and film but I also think despite his talents he is just taking the ****, sorry i couldnt put it in more eloquent terms!

so how's this for digging up an old thread ?! I remember seeing clips/interviews at the time of release, but had since forgotten all about it ! (And you'd be amazed at how often the word BUFFALO appears in the forums !)

Am about to buy, but looks like it could be discontinued; don't fancy shelling out if a new/better version is imminent - anyone know ?

It's not listed on dvdcompare, it's OOP @ dvdsoon & amazon, whilst dvdpricecheck shows @ £6.82 from DVD Pacific. [ Or anyone selling theirs for a couple of quid ?? ]

TIA for any info. :)
