Looks like a pretty good deal, might go for one of these. need a little cheap printer for home, unless anyone has any better suggestions?

What are these like for ink prices?

What are these like for ink prices?

I assume the 190 uses the same cartridges as the 210 I have

If so you will not get cheap ink for them as the printheads are built into the cartridges - at best around £10 for a replacement B&W compatible cartridge for my 210

From my limited research the cheapest ink is for printers where the ink resevoir & print heads are separate i.e. you only have to buy a replacement ink reservoir - IIRC these can be as cheap as around a £1 each

The only way I have found to get cheap ink for the 210 (& probably a 190) is to buy a CISS (continous ink supply system) which requires an initial investment of about £60 which comes with an initial ink supply that can be topped up as required - this £60 still works out a lot cheaper than buying the equivalent ink in cartridge form though

It would appear that the price of the printer in the long run is irrelevant if you cannot find a way to get cheap ink for it even for light users
