Hi,
I just found out my parents have bought one of these systems from the local Fenwicks (too late for me to see if they could have got it cheaper elsewhere) but I noticed the techtronics sell a model that is region free, so I presume there's a hack or other method of getting it to play other regions. I did a search on here and on google but didn't come up with anything, so any advice?

I think its chip only.

DVDChips (blue banner down there) have a no solder mod available for it though

I'll try and get him to go for one of those then (and thanks KCXDEV, for once again being the first to help me out, I think this is 3 in a row!).
That said, he reckons he can patch it using a CD, from my understandings, that'll only work with earlier versions of this model, and we'll need to open the machine up to find out which chip it has in, right?

I think it's safe to say that this is nonsense
