Okay, so that is probably the last film you would ever need a heads-up for, since it is a truly awful piece of garbage. The only reason I mention it is because it suffers from the "Shown on TV at exactly the same time the DVD is released" syndrome. Which is odd.

Though i still haven't recieved my copy of the Robocop trilogy :( Damned Play247's "3 - 5 day delivery". It was dispatched on Sunday, and I hoped it would arrive today. But it didn't. So the sad fact is, I may actually watch Robocop 3 on TV, just to make my own personal little protest that my copy of the DVDs hasn't arrived yet. (After all, every other time I have pre-ordered from Play247, the disc has arrived before the release date, not several days after it).

Hehe:D

I bet MGMs marketing department ain't laughing. How many people who see this on TV are going to want to own a copy of it.

PS - Have you read the "collectable booklet" packaged with the DVD. Its truly hilarious the way the public relations peeps try and make Robo 2 and 3 sound like modern classics blessed with critical and commercial success.

I'm hoping that was sarcasm as there's more violence in an episode of Andy Pandy!???

Even so, bet ITV still manage to cut loads of bits out......

i have to be honest and say that i've always had a bit of a soft spot for robocop 3.

Don't know why really but i have always enjoyed it everytime i've seen it and i certainly dont regret buying the trilogy dvds which are very good.

My hatred goes towards the Robocop Tv Series - talk about TOTALLY ruining a cool character!!

The point where it failed beyond all hope...

When Robocop straps himself into that jetpack whizzes around the skies of Old Detroit like a metallic James Bond

Nah!........when Robocop became softer than a Mr Whippy "99" ice cream melting on a hot summer's day is the point when it failed beyond belief.......

Top quote from the Robocop DVD booklet:

Robert Burke: "He [Peter Weller] left me a hell of a strong signature. But like a good many larger-than-life characters, there's room for interpretation".

Let us all thank Mr. Burke for his interpretation of Robocop as Charles Hawtrey in a suit of armour.

Absolutely abysmal movie - I know why I had avoided it before! Best bit, actually the only good bit, was the bit where the guy jumped out of the OCP building, the Security chief is fired and promptly shoots himself - a few great lines there!!

And the rocket pack Robocop - just reminded me of Turbo Man from Jingle all the Way!

For the love of Jebus why was this film ever made.

I nearly turned it off when I saw Lewis's perm, then I heard Robocop speak and less than 1 minute later I had to turn my TV off.

It was... okay.

"You have 20 seconds to comply..."
"You have 10 seconds to comply..."
"You have 5 seconds... 4... 3... 2... 1..."
"I am now authorised to..."
"Be as loyal as a puppy."

Mr Stanton was faced with a tough t.v choice last night...Robert Altman's classic M*A*S*H on BBC1, Woody Allen coping off with Julia Roberts on 4 in Every body, say's i love you or Robocop 3.

Why, for the love of God did i watch Robocop 3?

Robocop + Ninja's + a Frank 'Dark Knight returns' Miller script should equal some top popcorn action but instead they made the biggest dog since Digby.

was it just me, or could you see the half inch thick cables holding him up when robocop 'flies' out of the building at the end?

Why on earth was this shown at 10.30? Saturday afternoon would have been more fitting. Bad, bad film.
