I have a year old macbook, 2.16GHz with 2GB Ram, intel core 2 duo, GMA950 graphics.
I was looking at buying a HD Camcorder and using imovie. Would my macbook be able to handle this ok?
Cheers for any help guys :)

I'm not particularly up on Macs and MacOS but from PC experience I'd say that GMA920 graphics aren't great so you might find HD video a tad on the slow side. The CPU should be fine (the macbooks are Core 2 Duo aren't they?). What resolution is the screen?
By HD are you talking 720 or full 1080 lines? It will probably handle 720 lines okay.
What is the resolution of the screen? Do you even have 1080 lines of vertical resolution?
It will be fine, I use the same but with a 2.0GHz Intel Duo. Import into iMovie using FireWire and don't have any problems at all, well apart from HD space.
