View Full Version : Sony giga Juke
Hi all,
ive just purchased one of these Sony Giga Juke stereo's - was wondering if anyone else had one and if you could upgrade the hard disk in the machine (its only got an 80GB - and i would want around 200-300gb in it)
the specs are impressive for the price -
its arriving today - so will be able to play with it tonight :)

You might be better off asking in the audio hardware forum.

Did you get this, rampant? How is it? And did you find out if it was upgradable?
Had a play yet mate?
Im also looking at a new hifi atm, leaning towards the gigajuke.
What model did you get and also what price did you find it for?
Ive found about 220 and about 400 for the latest one.
Supplier/price and any feedback would be appreciated :)
got it and finally set it up!!!! - gr8 piece of kit, music is seamless all over the house now! - one think i dont like is the speed of access to the tracks etc from the remote stations, internet radio is cool
Im not sure how easy it would be to upgrade as the unit is pretty solid plastic, and i wouldnt like to attempt to take it apart.
I bought the complete kit (60 base and 2 stations ) from the sonystyle shop @ heathrow T5 - got base in living room, one station in dining/kitchen and one in bedroom - it is VERY cool :) - esp as you can set them to come on in the morning :)
How are you finding it mate?
Came across any issues with it?
Also if its set as a server can you acccess it from PCs as well as the base stations?
Any issues setting the wireless up?
Is streaming via the ethernet also supported (just need to check)?
Whats the speakers like on the main unit?
Does it allow you to setup links to your own internet radio stations or just presets?
