I can't help, but I'm looking for one around the £300 mark as a present so I'll keep an eye out on this thread too

Full HD is pretty pointless at 32". You'll end up paying more for a difference that you won't be able to notice. I've seen 32" HD TVs in places like Cash Convertors (ex catalogue ones) for around £200.

Probably KDL-32V4000 which can be got from Richer Sounds, John Lewis (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=57&url=www.johnlewis.co.uk) etc...

I'd say the 32V4000 is an excellent choice, Amazon were doing it at a decent price as well.

Many Thanks.

It comes down to personal choice really - some people prefer the Samsung, others give the edge to the Sony model. At the risk of feeling a bit like a broken record, you should should go view both models in the flesh and then see what you think. :) There are long threads over at AVForums on both, there are pros and cons with each.

Ive got an AOC 32" LCD and its just fantastic. Had it about a year and its the best TV I've ever owned. I paid £380 including Delivery and VAT.

Its fabulous for gaming, will play my 360 through the component cables or VGA no problem and looks fantastic through either. No screen LAG or any problems with that.

Got an old Tosh DVD player hooked up via HDMI, which upscales, and its just fantastic.

HD sources are great when playing a Blu Ray or HD-DVD. Id much rather have a larger TV for HD sources, but for a 32" this is a great TV. I couldnt recommend it enough.
