View Full Version : 360 + 8 games + 12 months Xbox Live (Gold) - £139.00
I'm not into the 360 scene at all, so no idea if this is a decent deal or not. Also not sure what it means by 'built in' games. But, just in case it is any good...
* XBox 360 Games Console Package With 6 Built In Games
* Forza motorsport 2
* Uno
* Table Tennis
* Viva Pinata
* Pro Evolution Soccer 6
* Sonic the Hedgehog
* Wireless controller
* 12 Months Xbox live membership (GOLD)
* Mass Effect
* Assassin’s Creed
£139.00 at Bargain Crazy (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=31&url=http://www.bargaincrazy.com/epages/BargainCrazy.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BargainCrazy/Products/F048000Z/SubProducts/F048000Z01D)
They have various other packages too.
They do the same package without the Xbox Live thing for £4 less. From what I can see, that is worth the best part of £35 so posted up the 'with' package.

Posted this on another bargain forum. I'm wondering if built in games means demo's?
Forza and Viva Pinata are the usual promo fodder - they'll be on the same disc most likely. If these are just demos then that's very misleading advertising...

would the six built in games be the ones that come withe 'arcade' model?

The "before" price of £499.99 would indicate that they are the full retail games.

looks interesting

Also, as it's an Arcade model, there isn't a hard drive so there's no where to store the games other than on disc.

The way its phrased suggests it's old stock with 6 promo discs included in the pack and then 2 separate ones thrown in.
Great price. :thumbs:

Yup - well if the console is an Arcade, then it's a recent model and should have HDMI. That coupled with the 12 months Gold Live sub is a great price in itself, and with the games it's an absolute steal.

seems like an excellent price to me. Promo games or no promo games.
Is the only difference between the elite and the arcade model just the hard disk?
If i got the Arcade model, could I use my old Premium hard disk add on?

The Elite is black, the Premium is white with a silver DVD tray and the Arcade is just white all over.
You can stick any hard drive on the Arcade and bring it up to Premium spec :)
Don't forget that you can also pick up a copy of GTA IV for less than £23 at the moment:

Couple with this deal, you'll be in gaming nirvana :p

What stock is this? Doesn't an arcade have five games on the memory? Only Uno and Sonic are mentioned

The 'not quite as good' non-Live deal is still available:

It's not as much of a bargain, but still a fantastic price.

The other deal had the better games though, with this you get smackdown 2008 and pro evo 6.... still a good starting place for anyone who hasnt got a 360.

Thanks ColinP. I also noticed that the Arcade model is not backwards compatible. Shame the offer is not as good now. :( I actually wanted the live bundle coz my one expried last month. :(
the arcade one is backwards compatible once you add a HDD to it.

The arcade is identical to the Pro/Premium once a hard drive is added. The only reason it needs a hard drive is to store the emulation code.
Ah interesting. That's cool. I see the light now. Thanks guys!!
Don't forget that the Pro/Premium compared to the Arcade also:
- includes a wired headset (for when playing Xbox Live games)
- includes an HD video cable (for when connected to an HD capable TV)
- includes a Network (cat 5) cable
- includes a hard disc
- doesn't include a 256 MB memory card (which is included in the arcade)
- doesn't include a disc with 5 Xbox Live Arcade game titles on it (which comes with Arcade)
Has anybody else received theirs?!
Mine has been delivered but I haven't had sight of it yet... my brother opened it up for me and told me down the telephone that it is in fact:
- An Xbox 360 Premium, e.g WHITE box and it includes a HD (20GB I think because the capacity isn't shown on the exterior of the HD)
He also mentions that while Mass Effects and Assasins Creed is there, the other games are not... perhaps they *are* installed on the internal HD, but that's blooming odd if you ask me!

Yeah, I got mine this evening. Premium console with Hdmi.
Just the two games - Mass Effect and Assassins Creed. No other games on the hard drive or otherwise.
Well that's a bit random. What happens next!?
