How quick a year goes
Currently with LV who have sent through renewel for next 12 months which is £356.19

Covers

Buildings inc accidental damage up to 1000000 (house was only valued at 150 grand)
Contents cover to 49000 includes valubles to 16333
and personal possesions to 2500
also legal expenses up to 50000

Is this a good deal ?
Who should I look at going with
Obviously (being member here) have substantial HC gear so want to make sure that and all related well covered etc

Having gone through the LC site again it seems the 10000000 thing is standard cover

However getting a NEW quote from them comes to 253 pounds and thats with twice as much contents cover

Can I just ignore this renewel and go with them again with this quote paying online ?

I've just gone with Hiscox who are good value and seem to get good feedback on customer service.

They where a tad more expensive
Am I ok just to take the new online price from LV - which will start the day after my existing policy ends ?

More expensive but better cover- Use the comparison feature on their site to see what extra they cover.

As to your question- why don't you phone LV and ask them to match the price for a new policy?

I use Direct Line who have been very competitive for me over the years.

Home Ins shouldn't be about cost, but service.

You only learn how good they are when you make a claim and I have to say LV is really first rate. I'm insured with them and could easily save £50 going elsewhere but am more than happy with the level of service I receive.
