Has anyone on here imported the Parts Express Titanic 12 MK2 subwoofer driver yet, or heard of anyone else doing so.
If so, would be be interested to hear your thoughts and opinions.
It looks quite impressive on paper, and considering you can import it and a 250W plate amp for about £280 (inc VAT and import duty) delivered, I'm quite tempted (especially as it slots straight into a sealed box of around 2-3 cu ft)
Add an MDF cabinet and a few other bits-n-bobs, and it seems you'd have a REL buster for about £350 or so.
However, as the REL Q150 can be bought for about £450, I'm still in two minds. At least on paper it seems the Titanic should be a fair bit more capable than that, but as we all know, it doesn't always work like that.
Has anyone used anything similar, from ACI, AdireAudio etc etc.
I've also had a look at the plate amps from BK electronics here in the UK. These look pretty good - has anyone used one. If so, what do you think - and do they have an auto on/off facility (doesn't say on the web-site).
Lastly, does anyone know of any UK or EU based suppliers of this sort of stuff.
