Again, 2 in a pack.
They seem to sell out quick though.

Not at 99p stores!!
I haven't decided what I'm going to do with my penny saved.
(PS. I think Doorman was being ironic)
2 bags - how many times can you use them? Sounds expensive for a toastie? 99p a go?

I take it you can't make a baked bean toastie with it?

What stops the beans from just dripping downwards though. Do you need a toaster clamp thingy?

Call me mr thicky but you obviously need a toaster that can take at least 2 slices of bread in the each 'slot' ?

You're mr thicky :)
And yes, your toaster needs to be able to handle the two slices of bread + whatever the filling is. Though they're awesome for ham & cheese.
Most toasters should take 2 slices of normal bread with a thin filling.
...there also great for re-heating pizza in too!

No, they are just plain old bags.
And bags stop their contents falling out of the bottom
Put your beans in the bread, put the sandwich in the bag, put the bag in your toaster, and ... mission accomplished !

I'm with megatron on this I don't see how you can do beans on toast with these.
If I put beans on toast the beans run off the toast.
So what stops the beans running out from between the slices of bread and creating a puddle in the bottom of the bag
Does the bread soak up the sauce
Do you use a small amount of filling and squish bread togther to hold everything in place
As megatron suggested do the laws of toasty dynamics not apply within these bags.
Or is there indeed a small amount of mess inside the bag

Not in the Brunty, luddite, household ... our toaster has 4 slots which take 1 slice of bread each. You could probably force 2 slices of thinly cut bread in but ...

Its a bag
you put something in the bag
it's in the bag
so it doesnt go anywhere
because it's in
a bag
think of it like this
if you put something in a bag, would you expect that thing to stay in the bag, or not?
it's a bag. you put food in it. then put it in the toaster.

I put something in a bag. Everything falls to the bottom of the bag (I'm not suggesting anything falls out of the bag!). It doesn't automatically form a square shape though, and unless something is holding the sandwich tight, gravity dictates the beans will slide to the bottom side of the bag.

if you put some beans in a bag, would you expect that thing to form a nice sandwich shape in the bag, or not?
But if the bag stops the beans running out then that means you can only use the bag once and so seems expensive.
Why doesn't someone make a toaster that is vertical so the bread goes in flat (if you see what I mean). That would be excellent for cheese on toast etc... and no need for a bag.

Roll on the day where someone invents a sandwich toaster.
i'm with megatron... do you get a couple of bits of hot bread and a bag of beans... or do they magically stop the beans sinking to the bottom?
What about lying your toaster on its side? I expect this wouldn't be at all safe though

... or a heating element which goes into an oven.. the oven will come with a little tray, with a handle, that goes up close to the element. I shall name this invention a "grill".
Leave the beans in the tin
DONE
Use a Foreman grill instead, much better than using a toasty as you don't waste half the bread with the fancy hard diagonal cut they make.
Get beans out of tin, put in bowl, mash beans a bit with fork, put mashed beany goo on bread, add t'other slice of bread, put in toasty bag and then in toaster.
One thing it ain't is rocket science.

Anyone tried a tomato soup sandwich in one of these bags yet?
Just use superglue or a dirty green grolly to keep the soup on the bread and you are away.

Ye gods man
The bean sandwich is held roughly inshape by the square sandwich shaped bag and by the square sandwich shaped toaster ! When the whole contraption is merrily toasting away, it doesn't just flop randomly around the inside of the cavernous cave that is the toasting space inside your toaster !!!!!
i found this instructional video on youTube:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WLxLkhOw0dw
unfortunately the full english breakfast sandwich featured at 40 seconds or so doesn't include beans  but it does contain a pretty damn perfect looking fried egg - someones going to have to explain that to me
I'm gonna have to get some of these things just to experiment with
You can do fish fingers and chips in them?
That video confused me

"healthy or indulgent!" no, just indulgent. The breakfast one was just a breakfast made normally then stuck into two slices of toasted bread. It looked too neatly arranged to have come out of the bag like that.
If you can grill it then in theory you can toast it!
