Might be buying a 9 month old Xbox 360 premium off a mate, inc. a wireless controller, Guitar Hero 2, 3, A guitar and Rock Band game, with drumset. How much would you think is a good price? Also, if theres any other deals on the web for new ones that are similar.
Cheers

XB360 (any wireless controllers?) - £100
GH 2 & 3 - £30
Guitar (GH Guitar? Wireless?) - £20
Drumset (Rockband presumably?) £40
Total is £190.
I'd offer £150 as he's obviously dumping old stock on you in readiness for Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero: WT :D

I'd hover around the same price Ono quoted. A brand new xbox you can pick up for £100. GH 2 and 3 solus wouldn't fetch a great deal these days and if you go to any trade store they'd likely offer in the region of £20-£35 for Rock Band peripherals.

I'd offer him £100 for the games, guitar and drums (as long as you want them) then pick up a new premium 360 for £160 with a brand new game, maybe Gears 2 or any of the other great titles coming out this month.
The 360's an amazing machine with a great games library, but the original till receipt and the full length of the warranty are worthwhile things to have.

Its 9 months old I think, will it have warranty?

The main problem that they die of (google 'Red Ring of Death') is covered by a 3 year warranty, everything else is 1 year. If you do buy it, at least make sure you get the receipt.

IIRC there should be a standard warranty of a year but the RROD is covered for three years. I'm pretty sure a proof of purchase isn't required as they can tell the age of the machine from the serial number, I know that I never had to provide anything when I got mine fixed.

I'm a bit of a 360 n00b. What are other risks then to a machine, aside from RROD?

Beyond that, I think it's fair to say that it's just the risks that you take with any piece of hardware. I know some people have drive issues but I think it's only really the RROD that's unusually common for a piece of consumer electronics. Don't let it put you off though mate - as a games console, in terms of price, range of games, quality of experience, etc... it's a wonderful machine.

Yeah as I know. But he doesn't have a reciept, so it's a hard one!

Hrmm, a bit of a tough call then. Suspect any MS repairs (so the 3 year one) could be done by the manufacure date, but you'd need that confirmed by someone with experience.
(Long shot - If it came from Game and he has a Reward Card, they can track the purchase through that)
I factored into my pricing the risk of having an old machine.
If it is your mate would make it conditional that the machine doesn't go tits up for 2 months.
