View Full Version : Vistron 42" LCD TV
I took a huge gamble and bought a Vistron 42" LCD TV unseen from a clearance auction.
It's the one with three HDMI inputs Model LTM4271E.
So I have the main bit but no remote, no stand and no user manual.
Any suggestions before I try to set it going? Thanks in advance, Gummy

I was gonna say try using a Sky remote but..

Then I was gonna suggest a Harmony remote, but seems they don't support it either..
Good luck!
Well I set this to go this afternoon and tuned it in through my PVR box, fabulous picture, but, there's a single thin red line top to bottom centre screen dividing it into two. any suggestions as to cause? Gummy.
Ps. at the moment it's not on a stand, just on the floor leaning against the old TV

Sounds like the panel's knackered - had the same fault with my panasonic earlier this year..

exactly the same fault on my samsung when i first got it, had to have it replaced.
Now here's the strange part. I ordered a remote which arrived this morning, set the tv up again but with the aerial connected direct instead of through the PVR and booster, pictures not special because it needs the booster but no red line anywhere to be seen. Gummy.

If it's just on certain inputs then it could 'only' need a circuit board replacement..
Has anybody got a user handbook for this TV? I'd appreciate a copy, nobody in the business seems to be offering one.
The remote I got for it (from www.genuinecopies.tv) works fine for the main channels but doesn't find the built in freeview, I'm still getting, waiting for, help from them on that, they seem very helpful so far.
Now the TV's set up properly on a stand it seems fine as far as the panel is concerned, no dead pixels and the line I mentioned is still there but virtually invisible in ordinary viewing, need to go up close and peer into the screen to see it.
Gummy.
