Streets really are peeing me off

2 orders

both sent out with second hand discs

returned for replacements.

1 disc that was "sent" to me (confirmed on telephone THREE times) I am now informed wasn't sent due to a "system error".

1 out of the outstanding replacement 2 discs sent to me and I'm charged postage of a £1.

I will NEVER ---EEEVER use this company again !!!

Unless they have a bargain - greed over rules the mind.

Yes I had the same problem, I sent them the 2nd hand DVD back and got another one back, but this time in a better condition. They also charged me £1 for shipping. I think this is a disgrace. Will try my outmost not to use them again.

they're the worst e-tailer i have come across in my life!!! they call me a fraud once and cancelled my order with the excuse saying that creit card number i gave did not match my address. i never even bother to look at the site now.

I also refuse to look at their site as they don;t deserve the extra hits I would give them. Terrible service and company in my experience. Which is a shame cos they were looking good for a while (several years ago anyway). The only reason I would buy something from them is if it caused them to make a loss. Really don't like this company.

However I am sure there are some who have had good experiences .....

Certainly seems to be a problem. A number of members seemed to have received second hand discs. Not good enough really. The few times I have used them ( a couple of years ago) they seemed fine, but then again things change :(

I have made three orders with them:

I ordered Forrest Gump: Special Edition and the Raging Bull 2-Disc. They came quickly and in excellent condition.

I ordered The Godfather Collection - that came quickly and in new condition.

But the third order I made with them - Day of the Dead, Hitman (HKL), Halloween and Reservoir Dogs have been a nightmare.

They sent me the discs - they all were second hand DVDs. I sent them back. I had to wait about a week or so for replacements - they charged me an extra £1 on shipping on replacements! (I sent the second hand discs back RD, which they still haven't refunded me for) The replacements were fine.

Halloween was missing. I had to wait an extra two weeks for that. Finally got it last week though.

I will never use them again. Awful, awful service.

The prices looked excellent - bad service. It's better to pay a bit more and get good service.

But people, this is what happens when you place a bunch of idots in charge of a business. They are totally clueless, from the customer service dept. to the upper management. Just use www.play247.com . Prices are 25% off retail, and the have special offers all the time worth looking at.
The only thing streets are good at is survival. Its amazing they are still there. Maybe when they put their prices up again (or at least their shipping rates) they might just whither and die.:clap:

I mainly use Play for stuff that I can't get on R4 with the same extras or a disc that I can't get on R4.

R4 has better prices than Play. But Play are my first choice R2 supplier.
