LOL. I remember seeing a letter written in an *interesting* style. Can't remember what the author was strying to say, though... ;)

Interestingly enough, I think it's the article in this month's EMPIRE (or is it DVD Monthly?) in which Paul Verhoeven says that he would be interested in doing a true sequel to RoboCop.

I can't see it happening though; there has been too much dross in the RoboCop franchise since the original movie - cartoons, TV series, dodgy sequels (although I quite like #3), etc.
Only us sad DVD/movie fans would appreciate the significance of this film, Joe Public would probably juist think "God, not another RoboCop film!"

I think they should continue from the 2nd film and not ignore it completely. Frank Miller's screenplay was fine, but it was the by-the-numbers direction by Irvin Kershner that let it down...

this "robocop 4" would be the genuine robocop 2, according to verhoeven. the screenplay would be very close to neumeier's original script for robocop 2, before he got replaced by franck miller who modified it, and before Orion split this screenplay between robocop2&3.
in these conditions, weller would also agree to be in it!

Wasnt this news confirmed ages ago during the promo for the DVD trilogy set ?.
There was an interview with both Paul & Peter (although not together) and they both stated that there'd love to do an official Robocop 2, as long as each other were involved in the film.

Has it been fully confirmed that there will be another Robocop then ?.
