I recently got a B&W solid 5 speaker setup and I haven't really pushed the system until tonight. On something like the opening titles of Space Jam (AC-3) there is a big force of air coming out of the base port on the front speakers. I just wanted to know if this was normal. At the moment I have my amp setup with no subwoofer as it's faulty (http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37346) , could this be the cause as all the base will be getting pushed to the front speakers. Also I have center channel switched off, as my amp has a fault but that's another (http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50686) story.

When I say a big force of air, I mean if you sit in front of the speaker it actually blows you hair out of place. The speakers are rated upto 150w and the amp is 100w all round.

Yes, it's normal (although you must have had the volume pretty high to actually start blowing your syrup out of place :D )

I only had my Sherwood on 60 on the volume, which is about normal sound levels for watching a movie ;)
