I hate asking for help, but short of going to the CAB (who only seem to be open whilst I'm at work) I'm a bit clueless :(
Long and short of it, I took out a Dolphin 35 contract with Orange back in February under the assumption that I would be getting a £100 buyback deduction over the 18 months and a 10% retailer discount on top of that. Now, being a complete idiot, I didn't realise until recently that I was not getting the 10% discount, as my statements get sent home, and I only scan them to see how much I'm being charged. So I rang up Orange to see what the problem was, and was told that this could only be sorted out in store. So I went into the store I took out the contract in, who informed me that although it was applied for, it was never put on the account. They said I would receive a text by Saturday evening to inform me that the changes had been made, but I have not.
Now, I'm quite frankly sick of Orange as a mobile provider. Their signal around the area is ok at best, I end up making four phone calls to finish a two minute conversation with people, the handset is godawful, and I'm just sick of being overcharged. Would the overcharge class as breach of contract seeing as they never put it on? I would like to get out of my contract without paying anything and just move over to someone else. Any suggestions as to where I stand?
