View Full Version : Leaving T-Mob
Hi all,
I'm currently on a good deal for a high user with T Mobile for £42.50/month:
Off peak cross net calling free
Unlimited landline calling (24/7)
600 mins to use at other times
Data inclusive
Was told that it would be £300 to upgrade to an omnia(!) and that I'd lose the landline bit and so requested my PAC.
I know that Vodafone call back a few times to offer better deals when leaving - usually 1-2 days after they have issued the PAC - is that the case with Tmobile also?
I don't think they do. It seems that anyone who isn't making them money isn't wanted anymore, ie if you don't go over your allowance. Plus you have unlimited landline they want to get rid of too
Yeah that's what I figured. Anyway, it's done now and am the proud owner of a brand new Touch Pro free on Vodafone (12 month contract). Will review the situation when it ends....

I'm just waiting on my PAC from Orange (for some reason they post it rather than email or text) before getting a Touch Pro from Voda. Just out of interest what contract did you get?
Steve
Touch Pro "free"
12 months (I know it's more expensive).
900 mins
500 txt
"unlimited" internet (actually 500mb fair use)
for 50/month
Edit: you may be able to find some cashback if you look around/negotiate. If you are London based I can provide a contact in a Voda shop.
In what looks to be the same boat myself.
Currently got Flext 35 (£180 credit for txt and calls), 1gb WnW and free Off Peak and Weekends for £42.50.
Had an interesting conversation with T-Mobile today that basically went along the lines of "you might not get the upgrade you want, try again in the New Year, but if the phone isn't given as a free upgrade then you'd have to buy it outright" which sounds insane!!
Now don't get me wrong, I love the deal I'm on - but how mad is it that I can't just pay the difference on the phone I want to the phone I may be offered!!
