Does anybody know what the difference is between these from MT -
Book of the dead - LTD Edition - £24.99 (R1)
BOTD - Standard Edition - £14.99 (R1)
BOTD - £15.99 (R2)
Also why is there only one UK version?

Isn't the Ltd version the one with the book cover, the standard without it and only 1 R2 because it's the same as the newiest R2 version so we just get the Ltd book cover.

So the R2 is the one to get then?

Sounds like to me. Same spec as Region 1 but a lot cheaper. Price has gone up recently though, from 19.99 to 24.99 I think, so MT may adjust their price, Play did.

However, it remains to be seen which is the better package overall. In principal they look identical (except for the PAL/NTSC difference), but I've read a few reviews that criticised the picture on the previous R2 release. Now, considering the R1 Elite version has stunning picture quality, and Anchor Bay's last effort at releasing it in R1 sported the same transfer, can we expect a better transfer in R1? Common sense would tell me not to worry, but Anchor Bay are relatively inexperienced when it comes to R2. Also, perhaps the lower price reflects lower quality packaging - i.e. not as much care put into the 'Book of the Dead', for instance. Plus, the R2 will have to have a BBFC certificate on there somewhere, which I suspect might ruin the effect a little. :D

I've ordered the R2 - not paying £24.99!!
Are MT likely to honour the current price if they up it in future?
