I really enjoy this, and was wondering if it has a release date pencilled in for DVD release

Doesn't look like one is in the offing yet, but this site has some great details:
http://www.kryptonsite.com/
Just found an interview on that very site that says the pilot and first episode is to be released on DVD in Europe with a commentary track by the producers.
What are the odds it's in 4x3, though, instead of 16x9 as broadcast by Channel 4? :(
Still, an excellent series, and it should look great on DVD if handled properly and released in widescreen.

So does anyone know when this is out yet?

Loads of stuff on R2.org too.
I think I'll wait for the inevitable series one collection...

and also easily the worst thing about the entire show. fortunately she has only contaminated two episodes so far, and the sooner she is out of it again the better, imho. she can't act for *****! i don't care how good she looks, she's not good for the show.
There's an article on the R2-Project (here (http://www.r2-dvd.org/article.jsp?sectionId=3&articleId=3613)) which details some extras for a Smallville DVD on the BBFC site. No clue as to a release date or any other specs though.

the episode shown last night was the latest episode in the states as well, shown there last week. now if C4 are showing 'smallville' next wednesday then they would be showing the brand new episode that only premiered on WB less than 24 hours previously. i suppose that's possible but it seems unlikely.
we seem to have caught the americans up, and given their practice of every few weeks missing a week (as far as new episodes go) you have to wonder what C4 are going to do. anyone have any idea?

Weirdest ep so far has to be the one where Jane from (Zoe, Duncan Jack and Jane) fancies Lex. Bit hard seeing a brother and sister from one show in 'another' situation in another show!
Smallville is definitely on next week...........won't say what it's about though in case people don't like the basic plot to be ruined for them........
Catching up with the US isn't a new phenomenon. All the sky one new seasons which start in January are usually pratically neck and neck with the US by the end of the season, and what with the scheduling nightmare Babylon 5 used to have in the US, it was practically an annual tradition for the last few episodes of a B5 season to be shown in the UK before the USA. Its only a problem really if they manage to catch up with the production scehdule :), and I'm not sure how far ahead the production schedule runs ahead of the US broadcast schedule :), but I'm sure C4 would have planned their season start so that this doesn't happen :D.
