Welcome to the forums Rubyred :)

This thread actually belongs in the DVD Discussion Forum. I'll move it there for you, I image you'll get a better response.

How do Play decide who gets their's first? I ordered it on the day that it appeared on their site, yet mine is still "processing" while obviously a lot of other people already have theirs.

Got exactly the same problem with my copy on a Wharfdale 750.

This is the first time I have ever been stumped with my Wharfdale (around 300+ discs), as there is usually a work around, ie track selection. Atlantis locks the buttons during the trailers so this doesn't even work, and the menu option just replays the trailers !!

Just tried it on the PC with my default player and it won't even start, no trailers or anything; even loaded in the interactual software that comes with the disc and it still won't play.

I would think this is definately a disc error rather than a hardware fault; however still go my PS2 to try out, but don't have much hope.

I suspect there may be a few other posts on here about this.....

After trying the disc on the Wharfdale and PC, I finally got it working on my PS2 using DVD Region X.

Not an ideal situation, as I dont really use the PS2 for watching DVD's.

Guess it looks like Disney have messed around with the DVD specs again:mad:

Atlantis plays A1OK on my Wharfdale 750...but ... not on my Dad's. Dad got his as one of the early batches from Tesco. Mine was a much later one with newer firmware. The only other disc that caused the same problem was R1 Saving Private Ryan. This caused much debate on this forum about 12 months ago. I upgraded the firmware (Steve at DVDchips) to latest version.. that let the older one play some of the enhanced protected discs...but not Saving Private Ryan. So I guess that we are back with the same problem ... never did find out the cause or a solution for SPR, other than to sell the disc and buy R2 version.

Had another go with my Dad's Wharfedale 750 and by pressing the menu button before the trailers, managed to get it to show the film. Don't know what's happening here.

My Pioneer 737 appeared to have some problems. On one occasion it would not play at all. I switched off the player and re-started. Then it was fine.

I think there may be a disc problem.

My copy finally arrived (even though it still says "Processing" at Play!!) - glad to say no problems with it in my Panasonic A360.

Funny how the previews are in 4:3 (even for films that are in widescreen!) and then formatted into anamorphic 16:9... at one point, in the trailer for the Tron DVD, you get a letterboxed film image inside an anamorpic frame - talk about your double whammy!!
