Its been 'touched' on (hohoho) in the HTC Diamond thread, but prob deserves one of its own as it appears to be HTCs new flagship model, and a real contender to the iPhone.

Personally I'm in split decision as my contract is up in 3 weeks and my current handset is nearly dead, and despite the availability of SIM free handsets, no UK carrier has confirmed they are picking it up. If they announced it for November at a similar price to iPhone on my current network (TMobile) I think I'd go for it, any longer and ill switch to O2.

The pros and cons between it and the iphone are its 800x480 resolution which apparently looks great, uses MiniSD over a HDD (i prefer due to less moving parts but I'm sure some will disagree) but is running on the older, still not particularly mobile phone-y WM6.

Videos and photos are around (i can't link right now but will edit post later).. what you all think?

The touch pro also looks pretty good: http://www.htc.com/europe/product.aspx?id=65462

It has a qwerty keyboard which makes typing e-mails and texts a lot easier!

Although the Touch HD is quite smart as well:

Not really High Def though

I would definitely choose either of those over the iphone...

I've had two htc qwerty phones before (using one atm) and the keyboard is useful but adds a lot of bulk to the phone and is the primary reason for things going wrong (the slide is a moving part and causes probs with power going to the screen).

I thought a lack of tactile response would put me off my next handset, but ill just get used to an onscreen one. apparently a lot of people with the pro don't use the qwerty.

I've got both and although the Iphone has the better overall feel and is really quick in operation, the Touch Pro is the one I will use most as it is much smaller and pocketable, Exactly the same size as my N81/N95. The keyboard is the most useful addition over the Iphone and the screen is gorgeous...Love those animated widgets!! Got it free on Voda (Unlocked)as an upgrade for £30 pm with unlimited internet.
