View Full Version : iphone screen replacement, are apple the only place?

hi got home from work to be told by the missus that she dropped her iphone on the way to pick the kids up from school. It has one of those invisable skins on it when has kept the glass intact but its cracked the glass/casing etc.

are apple the only place to get the screen replaced and if so what sort of money are we talking about?

They charge a fortune over £100.Ive seen other places online offering a repair service similar prices.You can get the screen cheap enough but replacing it is a nightmare especially on 2G phones.

thanks. i had a quick look at google before posting but you never know with half the companies on there and whether they are for real.. hmm real dilema then i suppose its off to ebay with the broken and she will ahve to do with my old samsung phone!!!

currently in rented and havent got insurance..... first time in near on 10 years of owning a home and paying insurance, the minute i need it i dont have it:nono:

yeah still works fine, its got one of those invisable skins on it that are really good and everything is still in place on the screen and all the buttons work. i'm just having a look on how much a broken one goes for on ebay, but i'll keep your offer in mind, and of course if i can pick up another for a decent price.

hi well i've given up the ghost in getting the glass replaced, if you still want it and you can get it replaced cheaply then good on you. if you can go to £100 we have a deal and i'll put it up in the general forum and the the missus will have to make do with my old samsung until her contract is up.
