I'm pretty ****** they have cancelled Leeds & Reading but now demand for those shows will be even higher. I bet Joey did it on purpose :D

They should be good shows especially with Machine Head supporting.

I'm not going but was looking forward to seeing them on TV and seeing how the crowd react and how much of their set the BBC would show considering their long standing anti-metal stance.

That's a busy weekend for me but I may head off to the first Hammersmith show.

Yes, the superb "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses" and there was also the live album "9.0: Live"

anti-metal stance? I'm sure you'll find heavy rock shows on late night BBC radio, so it's given about as much attention as any other specialist genre. The new Slipknot single seems to have been playlisted by radio 1 also...

Vol. 3 in my opinion is their best album so well worth your cash. The production by Rick Rubin is absolutely phenomenal.

I have Duality as my 'powersong' on my Nike+ iPod running system thingy. When I need a boost, it really works!

Absolutely top track, although I've not listened to the LP enough times all the way through yet.

Not sure you read my post correctly, where did I mention radio? :?:

If you're talking about TV festival coverage then, the BBC are biased towards very big mainstream acts. But that's different from being anti-metal, just anti anything that's not The Verve, Kaiser Chiefs or Stereophonics...

Just think back to a recent event like Metallica at Live Earth or back into the 80's with Maiden or Metallica on TOTP, the BBC always cut their perfomance :(

I thought the tour and Festival dates had been canned altogether?

I'm not digging the album so far - think Vol 3 is better.

I've heard the new single a few times (I assume it's a single - being played on rotation on the music channels at the mo) & it feels like 2 different songs; I love the growly shouty verses, but the chorus is almost a ballad. Sounds strange to my ear & i'm not quite on board yet.

I heard that too, I think Joey Jordison broke his ankle or something?

I just bought 2 tickets for Dec 1st at Hammersmith for £76 all in

I promptly justified this by reminding myself that Children of Bodom and Machine Head are supporting so that makes it all ok
