Wow... I better the model isn't too happy about that one. Its hardly something you release without noticing that!

I'm surprised they still use these Lara Croft models after Jolie humanised the role in the film.
Then again, it always was a bit pointless. Valve don't hire geezers to go around dressed up as Gordon Freeman, do they?

From the video on the BBC she looks like a really pretty lass. Now I see that that shot went out because it was an open press conference thing.
I always thought hiring these Lara Croft models was totally pointless. You see one set of photographs and then that is it. I don't care if someone is dressed up as a game character, that won't make me get the game unless it is good. Especially as now their marketing strategy is so old hat, how many Lara Croft models have they been through? Waste of time.

Pointless? The world and his chicken knows there is a new Lara Croft game now.

If I had a fit girlfriend, I'd make her dress up as Lara Croft.

Teaser trailer up on the marketplace, no gameplay footage
I'm excited by a new Tomb Raider game. I know i'm courting disapointment, but I always have high hopes that it'll be a return to what I (alone, I think) consider the pinnacle of the series, TR3. Creepy atmosphere, great music and great graphics and tough as old boots.

Having a stunning model helps to promote the game and promotes the game on non gaming sites. Also no one has mentioned her sexy voice, (I like the posh girl voice) :n0rty:
As for game: it looks good, they have dropped the lazy and dull QTE. Also the graphic engine looks much better than Legend and Anisverary
Never seen the point of the 'Tomb Raider models' but then again I'm not going to complain about it.
Looking forward to the game. Loved Legend, and am (slowly) working through Anniversary. I hope that the next one will be made for the Wii from the ground up though (as opposed to making a PS2 version and shoving Wii controls in).

Yeah, I am looking forward to this. I've been a fan since 1996 when the original came out and played through them all except Angel of Darkness (was getting tired of the series by this point and the poor reviews deterred me).

I wouldn't say it was my favourite, but TR3 was rather overlooked. The opening level in India was excellent, extremely atmospheric at the time.
Think I'd rank the series as follows: TR2, TR1, TR: Legend, TR: Anniversary, TR3, TR: Last Revelation, TR: Chronicles (like I said, never played AoD so can't rank).
Tomb Raider II is still one of my favourite games of all time.
I think the sound quality on 3 was what blew me away. it was good in 1, but by the time 3 came out, it was something else. I never played TR2, so perhaps its a good excuse to get a PS3.

Tomb Raider II was a PS1 game though, would it work on a PS3?
I'd love to see them all on XBLA. Such classics.
