View Full Version : Help ! My Creative Zen has just died
Had this for over a year now and it has just died on me. I am currently charging it but it won't turn on? model is the 30gig vision M.
Anybody else had this happen to their creative? I remember reading in the manual there being a reset button, should I try that or is the thing wrecked. :help:
thanks in advance

What have you got to lose?

Mines frozen up a couple of times during play with the only ways to fix it being to let it lose it's charge, or to stick a pin in the reset button at the base of it.
The reset fixed it both times and no harm done at all.
My mate also has one and he carries a paperclip around in his wallet for such an emergency.

Mine freezes often, and like Space Coyote, a paper clip is essential! :)
thanks guys
I have now managed to get it to turn on but it is not charging, sitting with a red bar for the last 2 hours? so maybe the usb cable is faulty?

I've got the 60gb model.
Nice player, but it's about as reliable as Lewis Hamilton's front tyres. It's locked up about six times in the 15 months I've had it, usually when you're on an aeroplane or something and have no pin/paperclip to hand.
Thankfully no. :)
cheers ;)
Gonna have a play round with it today, it's still not charging though.

The Zen fan forums will almost certainly have useful info.

To compliment those forums, you can also have a look at the forums at www.anythingbutipod.com :)

Sometimes the ZVM can take up to 24 hours before anything appears to be charging. However, this is for the first charge.
